Features and uses:
Measure the maximum temperature of vulcanized rubber when the sample is damaged under impact under specified conditions, that is, the brittle temperature. It can make a comparative identification of the performance of plastics and other elastic materials under low temperature conditions. It can determine the pros and cons of brittleness temperature and low temperature performance of vulcanized rubber with different rubber materials or different formulations. Therefore, it is indispensable both in the quality inspection of scientific research materials and their products, and in the control of the production process. Various technical indicators of this instrument meet the requirements of national standards such as GB / T 1682-2014 vulcanized rubber low temperature brittleness single sample method. In the original design of the instrument, a cold well agitator was added to make the temperature around the container more uniform, lower the temperature faster, save time and reduce energy consumption.
Technical Parameters

1. Turn on the power, the temperature controller and timer indicator lights up.
2. Inject the freezing medium (usually industrial ethanol) into the cold well. The injection volume should ensure that the distance from the lower end of the holder to the liquid surface is 75 ± 10mm.
3. Hold the specimen vertically on the holder. The clamp should not be too tight or too loose to prevent the sample from deforming or falling off.
4. Press the gripper to start freezing the sample and start timing control switch timing. Specimen freezing time is specified as 3.0 ± 0.5min. During the freezing of the sample, the temperature fluctuation of the freezing medium shall not exceed ± 0.5 ° C.
5. Lift the lifting clamp so that the impactor impacts the specimen within half a second.
6. Remove the sample, bend the sample to 180 ° in the direction of impact, and carefully observe for damage.
7. After the specimen is impacted (each specimen is allowed to be impacted only once), if damage occurs, the temperature of the refrigerating medium should be increased, otherwise the temperature should be lowered and the test shall continue.
8. Through repeated tests, determine the minimum temperature at which at least two samples do not break and the maximum temperature at which at least one sample breaks. If the difference between the two results is not greater than 1 ° C, the test is over.
